Product Description Search Tips:

When searching the database for records, there are many ways to pick the documents you want to grab. One of the ways is by scanning the documents for a keyword. We have made it easier and more versatile by expanding the ways to do this.

Single word Search:
If you want to search for a single word, simply enter the word into the Keywords field and hit GO.
For Example:
Entering in "PEOPLE," would return all of the documents that had the word "PEOPLE" in them.

OR:
If you want to search for multiple words in a document, separate each word with a '|' or a ' '. This will search the document for each of the words separately and return the documents that contain any of the words entered.
For Example:
Entering in "PEANUT BUTTER | JELLY" would find all of the files that contained "PEANUT" OR "BUTTER" OR "JELLY"

AND:
If you want to narrow a search down, you can search using more than one keyword. To do this, separate the words with a '+' sign. This will search for the documents that include all of the words entered in the Keywords field.
For Example:
Entering in "JOE + COOL" would search for all of the documents that have "JOE" AND "COOL" in them.

AND NOT:
If you want to search for all documents that don't include a certain word, place a '-' sign in front of the word to exclude.
For Example:
Entering in "AUTOMOBILE - BUS" would find all of the documents that had "AUTOMOBILE" AND NOT "BUS" in them

Be Careful:
These commands can be combined also, but the AND command always takes precidence over the OR command. Make sure that what you're typing in is what you really mean. Parenthesis can be used in the same way as in arithmetic.
For Example:
Entering in "RAIN | SHINE + WIND" will return the documents which have "SHINE" AND "WIND" in them, plus all of the documents that have "RAIN" in them.
Parenthesis could change the order or operations. Entering "( RAIN | SHINE ) + WIND" ** would return all of the files with "RAIN" AND "WIND" plus all the files with "SHINE" AND "WIND" in them.
**Note that the parentheses must be set apart with spaces.
